TWO DAY AUCTION: SATURDAY, February 6, 2010 - 11:00 AM and SUNDAY, February 7, 2010 - 11:00 AM. For our Winter Auction, we feature furnishings from the Barbara Bel Geddes estate, Decorator furnishings from Northeast Harbor, important Estate Jewelry, a collection of Gorgeous Mink Coats and the largest selection of Silver we have ever offered.

Sale Notes:

Our first auction of the New Year features important early furniture and artwork from the Barbara Bel Geddes estate, and a 200 lot collection of incredible decorator furniture and accessories from a single Northwest Harbor estate. Day one begins with paintings by Andrew Wyeth, Rubens Sanboro, Derek Gardner, John Twachtman, Thomas Moran, Ralph Blakelock and Thomas Sully. An extremely rare and valuable photo album of the American West by Adam Clark Vroman, an 18th c. Papal Bull with intact seal, and a bound French Admiralty 1750-1780 Charts of England will be offered. Exciting oriental items include ten lots of 18th c. Chinese Export serving pieces from a private collection, an important Chinese brush pot, and fine Chinese cloisonné, and jade pieces. A handsome collection of engraved Colt Pistols will be offered along with other modern rifles. A circa 1880 French Empire sideboard, an 18th c. Chest on Chest and an 18th c. Secretary Desk head the list of fine American and European formal and country furniture. Carpets will include a ca.1920 Heriz, ca. 1900 Cappadocia runner, and a ca. 1920 Sarouk, 25 lots in all. Also offered on this day will be early British, Russian and Dutch silver along with Native American items, toys, clocks and textiles.
