animal
painter

his
generation.

of
his
dynamic
compositions

horses,
dogs

animals

brushwork
and
strong
colours.
With
their
sweeping
landscapes
and
dramatic
skies,
his
canvases
epitomize
Romanticism.
Not
content
to
excel
merely
as
an
animal
painter,
Ward
