After
studying
at
various
private
art
schools,
including
those
of
Lev
Dmitriyev-Kavkazsky
(18491916)
in
St
Petersburg
and
Konstantin
Yuon
in
Moscow,
he
enrolled
in
1906
at
the
Moscow
School
of
Painting,
Sculpture
and
Architecture,
where
his
principal
teacher
was
Konstantin
Korovin.
Kuprin
quickly
became
acquainted
with
contemporary
developments
in
painting,
thanks
especially
to
his
exposure
to
the
collections
of
French
Impressionist
