Guglielmus Biography

(fl c . 1138). Italian sculptor. He is known only from an inscription on the New Testament reliefs that were carved c. 1138 on the north side of the main portal of S Zeno Maggiore, Verona. Guglielmus was at one time mistakenly identified as Wiligelmo of Modena, but his style is very close to that of his collaborator at Verona, NICHOLAUS.
