Biography
(b Chatham, Massachusetts, 1910; d 1982) American painter. Arriving in Cape Cod in the late 17th century, Cahoon’s ancestors were the first Dutch settlers in Cape Cod. He grew up in the harbor and enjoyed sketching, sailing, fishing and digging along the shore. Cahoon received his education at the School of Practical Art in Boston, Massachusetts.
