Highlighting Part One on June 19th are two rare Dinky Vans, Lots 176 and 177, with opening bids at $1500. Lot 176 is decorated with the slogan, “Meccano Engineering for Boys” and Lot 177 has “Use Kodak Film to be Sure.” The top lot of the sale is Lot 591, a Marklin Iowa Battleship that opens for bidding at $10,000 on June 20th. Descending through direct heirs from the original owner, who was given it as a Christmas gift in 1903, this is a rare opportunity to acquire an absolutely original example of a first series battleship in the finest condition ever handled by Noel Barrett Antiques and Auctions. Lot 508, also on June 20th, features a Plank Hot Air Powered Praxinoscope. Bidding begins at $3,000 for this Praxinoscope, one of the scarcest pre-cinema toys.
