Management Team

Adam Kirsch has been Chairman and CEO of Artfact since joining David K.R. Thomson as an investor in 2003. He oversees strategy, finance, and business development at Artfact. Mr. Kirsch was a founder and remains a Special Limited Partner of Bain Capital, a global leader in private equity investing, where he specialized in working with consumer and retail business investments including Staples, Sports Authority, Duane Reade, Wesley-Jessen, and Brookstone.

Rod Funston, President, founded RFC Systems in 1987 and has been the chief architect of its leading auction house enterprise software systems. Since the merger of RFC with Artfact in 2006, he has overseen auction house technology and product strategy at Artfact. Mr. Funston is a dual citizen of the U.S. and U.K., and has held positions as Comptroller for Phillips Auctioneers in New York, and Director of Information Technologies for Bonhams Auctioneers in London.

Supporting Mr. Kirsch and Mr. Funston is a team of more than twenty-five dedicated people in the United Kingdom and the United States providing sales, customer service, application development, and operations.
